Different form's of Energy

We know, we cannot create or destroy the energy. It just converted into one form to another. But the total energy remains same. In general potential energy changes into the kinetic energy whenever it is put to use. Because potential energy cannot used directly Nature has provided us the energy in the various forms namely,

1. Solar energy:
   
   solar energy is the main source of energy in earth. The energy radiated by the sun is known as solar energy. It cannot be used directly. Some devices like Solar panel, Solar furnaces have invented to make the use of solar energy.



2. Heat energy:
   
   The energy released on burning oil, wood, coal, gas etc. is known as heat energy. We receive heat energy directly from the sun. In the stream engine, heat energy of stream.


3. Light energy:
   
   Others object are visible for the pent of a special energy called light energy. The natural source of light is sun. The moon reflects the sun light at night. Many other sources of light burning candle, coal etc. which give us the light energy along with heat energy.


4. Chemical energy:
   
   This energy possessed by fossil fuels such as coal, petroleum and natural gas. When it is burn then chemical energy converted into heat and light energy.


5. Hydro energy:
   
   The energy possessed by the fast moving water is known as hydro energy.



6. Electrical energy:
   
   When two or more dry bodies are rubbed together, they get charged due to movement of free electrons from one body to another. So they possess electric energy.


7. Nuclear energy:
   
   The mass of a body is loss during the nuclear fission and fusion. It happed due to an energy is known as nuclear energy.


8. Geo-thermal energy:
   
   The energy released in nuclear disintegrations in the interior of earth get stored deep inside the earth is known as geo thermal energy. This energy heats up the underground water to produce natural stream.


9. Wind energy:
   
   The energy possessed by fast moving air (e. storm) is called the wind energy.


10. Sound energy:
    
    This energy is possessed by the vibrating of a body. This energy is feel by our ears.


11. Magnetic energy:
    
    The energy possessed by a magnet due to which it can attract iron filings, is called the magnetic energy. An electromagnet has the magnetic energy.


12. Mechanical energy:
    
    The energy possessed by a body due to its state of rest or motion is called mechanical energy.
